Find something special right in your neighborhood
Main Street Cottage will be celebrating its fifth anniversary this September. The owner, Donna Ciccolini, is planning some special events to celebrate.
The store carries a variety of merchandise including signs, wine accessories, hostess gifts, and wedding and baby gifts. Since many of the items are made by the Amish, she and her assistant, Lynn Serra, go to Pennsylvania four to five times a year to shop. Donna finds other unique items at gift shows. Her biggest sellers are home-made candles. “Most of the fall candles are sold out by the end of September,” said Donna.
Customers can also order on their Facebook site and they ship throughout the U.S. They also offer gift-wrapping. Her father, Lee Ambrose, is the official gift wrapper from the day after Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve. The service is warm and personal. “When a customer comes in, I want them to leave feeling like they’ve made a friend,” said Donna.
